The aluminum sheet is offset from the wall by a 3/4" thick wooden frame which is attached to the back. Gary is the old man on the sea. He is expressing his love for the sea and sailing; heaving from one swell to the next. Having been there is recorded in memory and on canvas. Racing the storm, mainsail barely in and flying on the jib. By the sea buoy and into the channel. Headin' in for safe harbor.
